Clicky: the AI that sees your screen and teaches you

You hold two keys and ask a question out loud. Clicky looks at your screen, points at the right button, and explains what's going on. It can also draw you a diagram of any idea.

What it is

Clicky is an AI assistant that lives beside your cursor on Mac or Windows. When you hold the shortcut and talk, it uses your screen as context. It answers by voice, puts labels and arrows on the controls it's describing, and can build a quick animated visual when a concept is easier to see than to hear about.

It's made by Humansongs, Inc. You can get it at heyclicky.com.

Set it up in 5 minutes

  1. Download the Mac or Windows app from heyclicky.com and sign in.
  2. When your computer asks, allow microphone and screen access.
  3. Finish the short onboarding.
  4. Hold Control + Option (on Mac), say what you want, and let go.
  5. Point or circle with your cursor while you talk, so it knows which part of the screen you mean.

What I used it for

Learning a plugin I didn't know. I had FabFilter Pro-Q open in Ableton and asked Clicky to explain it. It labeled the low cut, the upper-mid cut and the dynamic range right on the EQ. I didn't have to open a tutorial.

Explaining an idea visually. I asked how a jet engine works. Clicky opened a canvas and built an animated cutaway on the spot: the body, intake, fan and compressor stages, each one labeled as it appeared.

In my words: "Any kind of software you don't know, you can easily learn any concept; you can have it explained."

Good to know

My verdict: Keep

Clicky is the fastest way I've found to learn software while you're already in it. The visual explanations are the part that surprised me. "I think this is definitely going to be a keeper."
